"The Dart" framing plans (FINALLY!)- these are auto-sent pdf plans that you can print. They are sent immediately when you pay. :)

Like all of our plan sets- we DO build the cabin before we release plans. ALWAYS.

The one we built in THIS youtube video was done for well under $2000 in supplies. Obviously, you can add a regular ply-sheathed roof, tar paper, and metal roofing instead of the more "green house" version we built with Tuftex polycarbonate (we just happened to have a ton of it, and love the stuff) and you can prep are alter it for your own needs- a weekend getaway, or a fully insulated tiny-tiny dwelling even! (its been done).

People have been asking for plans on this for for a few years now, ever since we built a prototype at a Home and Garden showing Charlotte, NC in 2014. Well, we've been a bit beyond busy, but finally(!) are able to offer these online.

We created this one, yet again, with "Tiny Budget" in mind. This cabin, a spin on the tradition A-frame, is but half of an A-frame, but one with a small sleep loft AND a bathroom/shower space. By creating these off-shoot spaces we were able to keep the very small common area open for seating and potential cooking. Its a bare bones cabin, and one incredibly tiny (only 80 square feet at the base), but with some decor, insulation, and amenities, it would make for a great little, affordable, getaway!

There also exists the possibility of adding off the side wall by the door, should time and money allow- AND the framing layouts also show you another version with a knee wall and altered rafters, that would give you additional headroom below.

If you DO build this, send us a video and photos and we'll mail you a tiny house book as a thank you! newenglandrockpress at gmail.com

NOTE: These plans were used- we DID build this, and it worked for us, but BE SURE to check your local building codes and talk with you local inspector and engineer to make sure this cabin is right for you, and doesn't need any regional, or climatic/geographical alterations (earthquake proofing, high wind zones, etc). These plans are a mere starting point or framing guide line and nothing more.

These plans are the copwritten property of Derek Diedricksen and are for single use purchase only- they are never to be reproduced.
