We're keeping this one intimate and like all our other workshops this one is 100% hands-on. You'll be building WITH us and learning by doing the entire time.

Note: These workshops are for ANY skill level (we have multiple hosts to help)- even for those who have NEVER built before. This is an 18+ event too, but with waivers we can perhaps make exceptions for those younger (with an adult). 

This year will be better than ever as we're very excited to announce that we'll be congregating and building at "Heavenly Cielito"- a top-rated and amazing Airbnb luxury tent rental camp. This place is AWESOME -we've stayed there twice before and we're looking forward to going back! 

THIS is the land/camp we'll be building on and those luxury tents (there are several) will be available to rent too, but will go fast (more on that later as we update and add to our roster). 

This is our FOURTH workshop out there in the CA desert and EACH one we've done has sold out, so don't delay! We've been doing these building workshops since 2010 too, so you're in good hands. 

These are LOTS of fun too! Live demos, learn to frame, design tips, how to save money with your own build, tool use and selection, tricks of the trade, and more! 

We'll also ALL be tackling a cabin building project- one that wraps in MANY of the things, tools, skills, and approaches that you can implement in YOUR future cabin or tiny house builds, or just about any project.

NORMAL Cost per person: $460.00 (Two days (Sat/Sun)- with an option to come/hang/build on Friday for early arrivals... 

HOURS:

Sat, Nov. 18th- 9:30 am to 8pm (we'll most likely hang until very late for those interested)

Sunday November 19th- 9:30 am until 7pm (if you can stay that late- you'll be welcome to hang out later as well!)

We intentionally keep these workshops small and intimate so that you get plenty of time to build with us, ask questions one on one, hang out, and so on. 

We often end up having QnA campfire hang discussions late into the night too. 

CAMPING (bring your own tents) will also be available for a fee (where you will have use of the site amenities). There are also PLENTY of motels, hotels, and airbnb rentals elsewhere if you desire. 

We'll cover framing, design options and considerations, site selection, heating/cooling/elec systems vs off grid, foundations, roofing, window and door installation, spatial arrangement for efficiency, and much more. You'll also have plenty of time to ask other questions as well. We'll also discuss/cover a lot on tiny houses on wheels for those interested.
